I joined Dovetail Games in 2014 as an Intern. The first project that I contributed to was Train Simulator 2015, where I contributed to the development of DLC sets for the annual release.

As my first introduction to games development and audio for games, the kind of sound design work that is required for this sort of project was actually fairly technical and I took a real interest in this side of the role immediately.

As much as I enjoyed the content creation side of game audio, especially for vehicles, I became quite proficient in implementation and getting the most out of our limited tools and resources within the ageing technology that Train Simulator was build upon.

I was also fortunate enough to attend multiple recording sessions for new and heritage rolling stock.
